The Process to Select Judges for the CNJ Will Begin Next Week
The Transitional Judicial Council (CJT for its Spanish acronym) hopes to convene a contest next Monday in order to start the restructuration the National Court of Justice (CNJ for its Spanish acronym). Once formed, it is expected to become operational from January 2012.
21 national judges will be selected in the contest. According to members of the Judiciary, this selection process will be conducted under the fulfillment of the powers conferred on 7 May in the Ecuadorian referendum.
The process will cost $ 600 million that amount covers the creation of various judiciaries in the country and the implementation of the axis set by the CJT, which are: Human Talent, Model Management, Civil Infrastructure and Technological Cooperation Agency and Fair Financial Management.
