The renewal of boards, a preliminary step to elections

Before thinking about the chosen candidates for the elections of 2017, political organizations should reflect on something else: the renewal of their boards. This process seems a formality, but it is not.

National and provincial directors of each political organization are legally elected and registered in the National Electoral Council (CNE), they are empowered to submit the nominations under their jurisdiction for the election of the president and assembly members in 2017. If the renewal or ratification of boards is not carried out even before the announcement of elections in October 2016, organizations will have inconveniences, said the delegate of the CNE in Guayas, Roberto Ronquillo (I).
