The ruling party commemorates the 30s with festival in Quito
The Plaza de San Francisco, in Quito, will be the meeting place of the ruling party and its supporters to commemorate the fourth year of the September 30, 2010, when there was an police rebellion against the Public Service Law. President Rafael Correa will be present in the act and will give a lecture in commemoration of that date.
“It will be a festival of joy and music,” said Doris Soliz, Executive Secretary of Alianza PAÍS (AP) on September 29, in which, at 18:00, the called ‘Declaration to the second emancipation’ will be released, which will be drawn in the Progressive Latin American Meeting, held in the Ecuadorian capital.
The Ministry of Defence will also reveal a bust of soldier Darwin Panchi (who died that September 30th) in the Training School for Army soldiers Winners of Cenepa, located on the way to Ambato (Tungurahua).
Among other activities, the Department of Political Management will reveal a plaque to remember the events of September 30. This will be done jointly with the collective ‘Juan Pablo Bolaños Fernández 30S Never again,’ next to the Police Hospital in Quito, from 10:00.
