The Senescyt and the FEUE do not agree on figures

Admissions and desertion of high school graduates in universities have confronted the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology (Senescyt) and the Federation of University Students of Ecuador (FEUE).

The only match is a number: five hundred students.

The government says that there are 550,000 university students, from 2012 to the present date. The system seeks that the students are financially supported and conclude their studies.

While the university leadership says that 500,000 young people have been unable to have access to universities and the dropout rate is high. The government, -he says,- know the reality experienced by the students.
