The shadow of the State control

State control in Ecuador is a shadow projected into the future. The opposition, that believes to be able to snatch the power to the ruling party in 2017, includes it in its election manifesto; while civil society and institutions such as the Comptroller General decided to bring forward the battle, without delay.

This is not an unrelated issue to the agenda of the ruling party. From the beginning, in the Constituent Assembly, the green ranks have subdued the accounting review process towards the limits of the legislature, where there is a specialized commission made up by eleven members, nine of them militants of the ruling party. They have also created a technical unit, a law that defines the process, a state power and they have decided, in the last legislature, more than 2,000 requests for information, according to figures of the legislative presidency.
