The formation of the private Special Zones of Economic Development (ZEDE) has been slow, although talks began since 2010 and just one of them will be ready for 2019 in the port of Posorja.

This week, the Ecuadorian American Chamber of Commerce of Guayaquil (Amcham) participated in the proposal of the Ecuadorian business sector, to build the Ecuador 2030, a productive and sustainable agenda. The initiative is promoted by the Ecuadorian Business Committee, of which Amcham is a member. The agenda motivates, from a strategic vision, a roadmap to match the productive sector’s efforts to the challenges of the fourth industrial revolution and the exponential thinking in the coming years.
