The SNAP archive will be located in the old FAE supermarket

The facilities of the old supermarket of the Ecuadorian Air Force (FAE for its Spanish acronym), which was in disuse, will beallocated to the Directorate of Public Administration Files in Quito. This was announced by Deputy Defense Minister Carlos Larrea Dávila.

The Ministry of Defence yesterday handed the record of the handover and reception of the facilities to the National Secretariat of Public Administration (SNAP for its Spanish acronym). The realization of a study was then performed to determine the cost of the investment and if further adjustments are made.

The archives department of the Archives Directorate of the Administration stored 33 million documents since 1820, which would be classified and maintained on the premises, said Leonardo Reyes, Assistant Secretary for Public Management.
