There will be a special police report for micro-traffickers
Posted On 13 Oct 2015
Police reports for people detained under suspicion of microtrafficking will have certain peculiarities that allow prosecutors to determine whether they are consumers or sellers, reported yesterday the table of Justice, that met in Quito.
The document, that will be prepared through a web-based system, will allow a detailed description of the background of the arrest. Gustavo Jalkh, president of the Judicial Council, said that this will facilitate prosecutors to “determine mitigating or aggravating circumstances on the issue of the sale of illicit substances to minors.”
Police agents, who will be trained on the new format for drug cases, shall answer certain established questions in their reports to prevent obviating relevant information.
