They open call to apply for business ideas
Ecuadornews:

The call for young people to present their business ideas and obtain seed capital for their ventures will close in January 2019. This is the event Eco-challenge 10.0, an alliance between Pepsico, Young Americas Business Trust (Yabt) and the Organization of the American States (OAS).
Applicants, who can form groups of maximum ten members, must access www.ticamericas.net/ecoreto.
You have to present road solutions, scalable and ready for investment, in the categories Nutrition, Environment and Women, says Martha Hurtado, director in Ecuador of Yabt. Indicates that innovation is valid and points out that in previous editions Ecuadorians have been awarded several times.
In 2017, Karla Altamirano and Paula Salazar were recognized by the Comfy project, which presented products for the hygienic health of women who use public toilets. They made antimicrobial, organic and biodegradable waterproof covers.
The selected proponents will receive advice, tutoring, mentoring …, Hurtado mentions that since 2009, when the contest arose, she has been immersed and has seen young people in the region succeed.
She recalls the expression of a young Mexican: “I went to bed poor and woke up millionaire!”.
Hurtado maintains that with that phrase the foreigner gave her the news that a German company paid about a million dollars for a chicken vaccine. “They did not put a drop in the eye, but it spread and there all the chickens were vaccinated,” she says.
The award will be in June, in Colombia, within the framework of an OAS assembly. (I)
