‘Thor’ leads the box office in the United States
The premiere of the second installment of “Thor,” widely beat the films “Bad Grandpa,” “Last Vegas,” and “Ender’s Game,” this weekend at the American box office.
“Thor : A dark world,” starring Australian actor Chris Hemsworth, grossed $ 85.7 million in its first weekend in theaters in the States, while “Bad Grandpa” placed in the second position with revenues of $ 11.3 million in the same weekend.
The animated film “Free Birds” takes third place with a total of $ 30.1 million since its release, while the adventures of actors Robert De Niro, Morgan Freeman, Kevin Kline and Michael Douglas in “Last Vegas” remains in fourth place with $ 11 million raised this week (and $ 33.5 million in two weeks.)
The film “Ender’s Game”, which marks the return of Harrison Ford to the universe of science fiction dropped from first to fifth place, with $ 10.3 million and a total of $ 44 million.
