Thousands of faithful walked with “The Churona” in Guayaquil
The locals devotees were participants in a pilgrimage to honor the Virgin of El Cisne in Guayaquil. The tour began in the center of the city and culminated in the suburb, south of the Pearl.
With the image of “The Churona” on shoulders, devout Catholics santa accompanied his unwavering devotion to give thanks for the blessings and favors received, many prayed to ask for health, faith and economic stability.
The procession began at 15:30 from San Agustin Church. The Monsignor Ivan Minda Chalá, auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese, celebrated a Mass where about 15 thousand faithful attended the procession. Then gave way to the long walk that ended at the Temple St. Vincent de Paul at 22:00. Subsequently, celebrated a Mass at the Churona honor, as known to the Virgin.
