Thousands of pilgrims and tourists celebrate Christmas in the Holy Land

From very early hours, thousands of pilgrims, tourists and local Christians gathered this morning in the biblical town of Bethlehem in the West Bank to celebrate Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
The meeting took place near the Christmas tree 15 meters high, located in the Plaza of the Nativity.
The Israel Ministry of Tourism predicts that this time of year to reach the Holy Land more than 90,000 tourists visit
The main event will be the Midnight Mass at the Church of the Nativity, built where, according to belief, Jesus was born.
Bethlehem Mayor Victor Batarseh, expressed confidence that this year’s celebrations come to the Palestinians to their dream of owning their own state.
