Three rights around labor changes

The ruling party is promoting a package of amendments to labor policies that seek to unite all workers of the pubic sector under the Organic Law of Public Service (LOSEP). Currently, in the state institutions there are two labor regimes: the workers who do manual labor and are protected under the Labour Code and the other servers, under the LOSEP.
The unification proposal has been criticized by the leaders of the United Workers Front (FUT), who ensure that workers -safeguarded by the Losep- would lose the right to organize, collective contract and strike, currently guaranteed by the Labor Code.

The ruling party proposes that the LOSEP guarantees the right to strike and to organize, but not to collective bargaining. For groups like the Labour Parliament, despite the adjustments, the proposal is not complete.

They will met today with the President and will present an alternative proposal, that was prepared over the weekend between the legal team of the Parliament and the FUT.
