This began in 2014 with the purchase of Toni Dairy Industries, Heladosa, Plásticos Ecuatorianos, Dipor, Cosedone, and Fabacorpsa, which form the Holding Tonicorp.
The value was mostly financed ($ 90 million) with a loan from the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group.
“The project was born with the aim of becoming a benchmark, with a plant that meets the quality standards, expand our production capacity and consumption with a view to importing our products to other countries,” Medina said, who added that they also seek to grow the per capita consumption of dairy products in Ecuador in the next 5 years.
