Tonight The Grammy will award the best on music
Tonight the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences will honor the most prominent figures of music in its 55th edition of the Grammy Awards.
Artists like Kanye West and Jay-Z, Frank Ocean, The Black Keys, Mumford & Sons and FUN, are among the nominees for this music gala who represent the most important genres such as hip hop, R&B, rock, folk and indie pop.
This edition stands out because of the absence of YouTube stars Justin Bieber and PSY, as well as One Direction and Nicki Minaj.
This year the Grammy’s slogan is: The world is listening, a bet of the Academy for U.S. amateur musicians, which created an Amplifier space, where anonymous musicians could upload their demos until January 2.
Bruce Springsteen will be honored as the 2013 Person of the Year, because of his involvement in a number of philanthropic projects. The Grammys will feature a special guest, prior to the gala: the performance of a group of the Sandy Hook school, Newton, Connecticut, where 26 people were killed last December.
