Tonight we inaugurate the opposition: Guillermo Lasso
While acknowledging the victory of Rafael Correa, whom he would compliment, as well as to its political group, the candidate of Creo, Guillermo Lasso, who received the second highest vote, explained in a press conference that his political movement is the second political force in Ecuador and that this “same night (yesterday) inaugurates the opposition.”
He was pleased with the results and said that “nearly a quarter of Ecuadorians signed our theses,” so he is willing to continue the political struggle and the struggle for power.
“It is of honest people to acknowledge the victory of others,” he said while pointing out that he will respect the decision of Ecuadorians, but added, “we will oppose with ideas, proposals, that suits the Ecuadorians to overcome poverty.”
