Traffic of containers decrease by 1.9% in Guayaquil

Guayaquil is the second busiest port in the Andean Community, after Callao. Last year a 1.9% reduction in traffic of containers was recorded while an increase of 2.3% was recorded in the Peruvian port.”

Guayaquil mobilizes 447,000 containers between January and September, according to statistics of the Community. Callao recorded 772,000 containers in the same period.

This figures are followed by the Cartagena port in Colombia, with 392,000 containers, the Colombian port of Buenaventura with 391,000 and private ports of Ecuador mobilized additional 243,000.
