Train Cruise of Ecuador awarded in Europe

The webside www.ferrocarrilesdelecuador.gob.ec, announced today that the Train Cruise of Ecuador won the Wider World Project award for best tourism product outside Europe. The award was recived by Jorge Carrera, director of Ecuador Railways Public Enterprise (FEEP for its Spanish acronym.)

Train Cruise was also nominated for the award Promotional Success, within the community awards of the Latin American Travel Association (LATA members,) in England.

Both nominations were proposed by British journalists Anthony Lambert (“Railway Gazette International” and “Daily Telegraph”,) and Dan Benians (“Distinctive Americas”,) after Lambert compared his experiences in a trip he did in the 80s and another one six months ago to the same place, with modern updates.

Train Cruise travels the route Quito-Duran and vice versa in 4 days and 3 nights, is considered among the most important of Ecuador in England.
