Despite a slight decline, the expulsion of incandescent rocks and ash yesterday marked the activity, but it cannot be said that the volcano has low movement, according to technicians from the Geophysical Institute.
The National Secretariat of Risk Management (SNGR) reported in Chimborazo that the volcano activity remains at a moderate level with rising trend, to which preventive actions should be planned.
The Emerging Operations Committee (COE) of Chimborazo, reported that an evacuation program in communities located in the foothills of the volcano, has already been developed.
The COE reported that the rains have swept volcanic material accumulated, so lahars have formed, which disrupt access to the main roads.
