Guayaquil is full of shows over its aniversary

The festivities over the founding and patron saint celebration of Guayaquil have a complete agenda for this weekend. The Globofest festival, walks, expositions and even some montubio rodeo.

The inhabitants of Guayaquil can admire, for several nights, giant balloons flying over the city in the second Balloon Festival, which since last Wednesday, travel across the sky of Guayaquil, from La Rotonda, on the Malecon Simon Bolivar.

They will be in town until July 21, from 18:00 to 21:00.

Since this morning, at 08:30 and during the day, health organizations are making walks for Nutrition and Health issues, addressed to the population from the surroundings of the health units of the Ministry of Public Health, with the participation of educational institutions of the sector along with parents, students, teachers and the community.

Tomorrow there will be an exposition event from the Army and also a local food festival, and on Sunday we will be able to watch the horse riding that begins at the military fort Huancavilca and ends at Monte Sinai. There will be sac races, typical food and on the evening, they will bring an orchestra and guest artists. This is the fourth consecutive year the rodeo is being held in order to recover the identity of the local peasants.

• 18:00 the Navy and Naval Radio organize the arts festival Sing to Guayaquil along with national artists. The festival will be held in the Armada Park between the Eloy Alfaro and Cañar streets.
• 18:00 Dance Festival at the Colon Square in Las Peñas.
• 18:30 Juliana Festivity of the Ministry of Culture and Heritage in the Historical Archive of Guayas at the Juan Tanca Marengo Avenue.

• 10:00 Rescuing popular games in the Lineal Park of the Salado,in front of the Catolica University.
