Two students achieved the perfect score on Secescyt test

Pablo Velasco and Alex Hidalgo got the perfect score of 1000 points, in the test of higher education, to enter to the University. In the building of the Ministry of Higher Education (Senescyt), the results were announced.
Velasco, 17 years old, graduated in Ibarra, in the Atahualpa High School, and wants to be a filmmaker. He still does not know where will he study.Hidalgo, 19, graduated in Cayambe, at the Ascazubi High School, and wants to be an electrical engineer. This is his fourth attempt: he had failed before the score necessary to study that career.
The academic stage of secondary education has improved. According to figures from the Secretariat, the average score of applicants this year was 710, the previous year was 685. Despite the fact that, on this occasion, about 90,000 more students signed up.
The Senescyt awards scholarships to top 250 students. But this year, due to several draws, they will be 264. They will have access to scholarships to study at private universities, national or foreign.
Other candidates who have passed the 600 points will have an University quota. They must apply to one of the 1,800 careers that offer the system ofpublic education, from May 5 to 25. And, until June 1 the assignment will be done.
