The “robot journalists” or “algorithms”, a set of programmed processes to develop a function,  are marking a milestone in the history of communication.

Los Angeles Times has already used them to publish an instantaneous exclusive of the California earthquake last Monday with the help of these programs.

Ken Schwencke is a journalist and creator of Quakebot, an algorithm that takes data from the U.S. Geological Survey when there is a natural phenomenon.
