UK Dismisses Negotiation About Malvinas Islands
Posted On 08 Feb 2012
The British government dismissed any negotiations with Argentina regarding the Malvinas Islands or as the British call them Falkland Islands, unless its inhabitants request it. Tensions between the UK and Argentina have intensified due to this matter.
Argentinean President Cristina Fernandez informed that she will present a formal complaint before the UN Security Council since the UK created a security risk with the arrival of their more modern warfare vessels in the region.
Meanwhile the British government informed that this is a routine operation after sending its destroyer HMS Dauntless to replace another ship. (AV)
