Unasur discusses the proposed changes for the ISHR
The Union of South American Nations (Unasur for its spanish acronym) maintains sessions since yesterday with the participation of foreign ministers in Santa Cruz, Galapagos.
In these meetings it is being analyzed the advances on the changes proposed for the Inter-American System of Human Rights (ISHR), which have been questioned by Ecuador.
On the first day, the foreign ministers discussed the conclusions obtained from three conferences previously held on the universalisation of the system and the possible change of venue of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR).
In addition, the rapporteurs operation improvement was addressed, which, according to the Foreign Minister Ricardo Patiño, it would discriminatory that there are some special and others less special.
The political meeting, developed behind closed doors will conclude tonight.
