Unidad Popular and Fuerza Ecuador shall submit more signatures to the CNE in the first months of 2015
Posted On 31 Dec 2014
To deliver to the National Electoral Council (CNE for its Spanish acronym) during the first months of the year more signatures, required by the Code of Democracy (1.5% of the electoral register used in the last election process of February) is the goal of the political groups Unidad Popular (UP) and Fuerza.EC (FE).
Luis Villacis, UP leader, explains that once all the requirements submitted to the CNE, such as statutes, statement of principles, the government program and the organic scheme of the group, the signature collection process initiated.
UP, which seeks to register as a movement, hopes to have 150,000 signatures until January 10 to begin the debugging and make the first delivery in April 2015.
