Unilever, even more powerful after buying national brands

It is already strong and will be more. Unilever will have another section on the perches of personal hygiene and home cleaning products in Ecuador. It has a collection of new brands since the 90´s.
The powerful company had a turnover of $ 283 million last year according to the Superintendency of Corporations and signed an agreement to acquire Quala’s personal and home care portfolio, a company with a significant presence in Ecuador wich expected to have a turnover of about 150 millions of dollars in 2018.
Unilever, a British-Dutch multinational established in 1930, has iconic brands in the country: Deja, Bonella, Dorina and Ax, for example, and will take the best of Quala in this segment. Fortident is the second best-seller tooth paste in Ecuador, “that has demonstrated a steady growth in market share.” Aromatel is a clothing softener that captures the second position on the hangers. With this product, the company will complement the laundry section in the local market (I).
