The Unitary Workers Front (FUT), the largest labor of Ecuador, convened tomorrow for a national mobilization against the government labor policy. They will not follow the request of mourning by the death of 22 soldiers in aircraft accident.
Tatamuez Messiah, one of the top leaders of FUT, confirmed that the mobilization will be “peaceful and in which will participate all” workers and other social organizations.
Tatamuez told EFE (an international news agency) that the march is to protest the reforms in the labor market driven by the government and that are being processed by the National Assembly (Parliament) which, according to him, while they seek more “flexible employment”, in reality they are incrementing “the burden of the crisis on the shoulders of the workers”.
