Urdesa defends the sale of the land claimed by Fernando Alvarado

Rodrigo Ycaza Rolando, owner of the Urbanizadora del Salado SA (Urdesa) company, defended the legality of the sale of a property claimed by Tourism Minister Fernando Alvarado, in Guayaquil.
“In 2007 we made regularization process was undertaken, through a city ordinance, to these lands that belong to Urdesa, and it was resolved that Urdesa reaches a financial settlement with the landholders, those people included the owner of Repartecsa” he said.
Ycaza sold the land to Victor Hugo Paredes, owner of the Repartecsa company, who says he was then in possession of the property where the _ auto stop is currently locates. “The Urdesa company, represented by me, owns the land since 1956 when it was acquired in a voluntary auction of the Guayaquil Welfare Board,” states Ycaza in a writing within a collusion judicial process, began by Alvarado to show that Ycaza and Paredes united to conspire and affect his assets. The minister believes that the land belongs to him and submitted as evidence a lease agreement signed with Paredes in 2002. (I)
