Valencia Will Not Play Against Venezuela

The physical therapist of the Ecuadorian team, Tony Ocampo confirmed that Luis Antonio Valencia will not recover in time from his injuries and he was ruled out to play the second match against Venezuela scheduled for next Saturday.
Valencia has a left ankle swollen; the idea is for him to recover for the match against Brazil. Ocampo made the statement during the teams’ arrival to the hotel Rio Grande de Santa Fe.
Luis Antonio Valencia has a lot of trouble moving around after receiving a strong blow in the match against Paraguay. The blow was right in the ankle he fractured last year. (AV)
