Venezuela: Government and opposition achieve first agreements
The government and the opposition in Venezuela achieved its firsts concrete agreements for the dialogue process started last Thursday which had its second session yesterday.
After more than five hours of meeting, the parties agreed to expand the Truth Commission to investigate the violence occurred the last two months in the country.
In addition, they agreed that the areas governed by the opposition will join the Homeland Secure plan, strategy designed by the central government to fight crime, and the review of the situation of political prisoners.
Meanwhile, the Bureau of the Unit has committed to make suggestions with their experts to assist the promotion of a peace culture in Venezuela.
Similarly, both sides have agreed to choose, by the established procedure in the Constitution, the vanquished and vacancy charges of the National Electoral Council and the Supreme Court.
