Vettel talks about Wheldon’s Dead and Motor Racing Security
Posted On 19 Oct 2011
Two days after the tragic death of British pilot of the IndyCar, Dan Wheldon, current Formula One world champion, Sebastian Vettel, said the motor racing should improve security, although drivers accept the dangers involved.
For Vettel, Red Bull pilot, Wheldon’s death is a “big loss”.
“The bottom line is what we do might not be the safest so there is always some risk but we are ready to take that into account because we love racing and we love motor sports and it is dangerous,” said Vettel.
Wheldon, 33, two-time Indianapolis 500 winner, died Sunday in a tragic car accident in IndyCar race in Las Vegas.
