Vice president Vicuña receives report on execution of works in Manabí and Esmeraldas

Vicente Veliz, representative of the Executive before the Committee of Reconstruction and Productive Reactivation, explained to the Vice President of Ecuador, María Alejandra Vicuña, the state of the works that are carried out in Manabí and Esmeraldas, provinces affected by the 2016 earthquake. In the next few weeks, houses will be opened in Jaramijó, a park in Portoviejo.
Lenin Moreno, President of Ecuador, indicated, in his official Twitter account, that the members of the Committee for Reconstruction had arrived in Quito to participate in the Changing of the Guard.
“We are working without pause for the economic reactivation of Manabí and Esmeraldas!”, Said the President.
Later, however, it was known about the meeting between the Vice President María Alejandra Vicuña and the committee.
The representative of the Executive before the Committee of Reconstruction and Productive Reactivation, Vicente Veliz, informed the Second President about the new market that is being built in the Calderón parish, the burial process that advances in Manta and the next beginning of the construction of the hospitals of Chone and Bahía de Caráquez.
In addition, it was announced the inauguration of 300 houses in Jaramijó and a park in Portoviejo, which will be one of the largest on the Ecuadorian coast.
The mayor of Portoviejo, Agustín Casanova, and the ediles Luis Moreira, José Roldán and Nelly Rivadeneira also participated in the meeting. In addition, the Minister of Finance, Carlos de la Torre, the Secretary of Policy Management, Miguel Carvajal, among others, attended. (I)
