Victor Emilio Estrada Av. Could Become a “Mall Without a Roof”
According to the Municipality of Guayaquil, next month they will beging a Plan of Reorganization of the avenue Victor Emilio Estrada in the Citadel Urdesa of the city of Guayaquil.
The decision means, among many things, measures requirements for a business premise, the restriction of operating permits, the renovation of sidewalks and curbs, the improvement of the road and parking buildings and the renovation of the facades in the premises that already exist.
This was confirmed yesterday by Gustavo Zuniga, director of the Urban Clean in Buenos Aires, who said the project is under study and that there are still some issues to be discussed.
One option that is being analyzed by the Municipality is the possibility to turn into a one-way street from the park of Urdesa to Miraflores, and its return would be the Jorge Perez Concha Avenue.
The idea was raised by Luigi Passano, Riviera restaurant owner, not only to improve traffic, but also the creation of more parking. The intention is to reorganize the zone on order to make it a “mall without a roof,” with appropriate security measure to move quietly around the citadel, without any fear to be assaulted, as it happens today.
