Victoria Salcedo: “I have many things to do, there is a long life”
“I want to be the queen.” The Guayaquil Victoria Salcedo is one of the 22 candidates in the Miss Ecuador 2021 beauty pageant. Her added value is that she exemplifies self-improvement, equality and the desire to overcome our fears.

The candidate for Miss Ecuador is the first candidate with a physical disability to appear in the contest.
Salcedo lost both arms and left leg 20 years ago due to a home accident, when he received a very strong electric shock. His limbs were amputated, but his dreams were not.
The 25-year-old girl learned to live with her physical disability. He is currently studying social communication in Guayaquil and hopes to work in the media in the future. But before that is her most recent goal: Miss Ecuador 2021.
Signing up was not easy. “More than complicated, I qualify it as intense,” he told EcuadorTV, during a tour of the Grupo Oriental noodle factory in Quevedo. The aspirant noted that she felt quite anxious about participating in the beauty event. Now that she is one of the candidates, she considers that she has the opportunity to win and show the world everything that Ecuador has.
He also reported that at the beginning he did not have such high expectations of receiving the support and affection that he obtains daily on social networks and in the visits he makes with the rest of the misses. For her, being in the reign is a sign that the objectives are to be met.
“We can always do it, we just have to take action, believe it and go out and fight for what we want,” he emphasized. With that message remember that there are no obstacles in life. In addition, this experience is one of many that he hopes to carry out in the future.
“I have many things to do, there is a long life, if God allows me. That is why I always keep my head up in each of my projects ”, he concluded, with a big smile on his face. (I)
