Victory over Venezuela places Ecuador first in qualifying stage for Russia 2018
The Ecuadorian soccer team ends 2015 with 12 points in the South American score of the World Cup qualifying stage for Russia 2018.
The Tricolor managed this historical record with the victory 3-1 against its counterpart Venezuela, in the Cachamay Stadium of Puerto Ordaz.
The first goal came After 14 minutes, scored by Fidel Martínez. Eight minutes later, Jefferson Montero scored the second goal, achieving a score 2 -0.
For the second time Venezuela scored a goal, but the Ecuadorian Felipe Caicedo scored the third with a strong header straight to the right corner.
Venezuela finished last in the qualifying table with zero points.
In the next double date of the qualifying stage, in 2016, Ecuador will be home team in the match against Paraguay in March 24 and will then go to Barranquilla to play against Colombia in March 29.
