The popular Festival of Viña del Mar started at 22h00 in the Quinta Vergara stage. 2,400 meters of led screens showed images of the Chilean earthquake and its reconstruction.
Roberto Carlos, the popular Brazilian singer, returned to the festival after 22 years. On its 52 years edition a new section will be added which is the international and folk category. Only one jury will be in charge of choosing the best theme from the six participants of each category.
The voting will be made public through digital screens that the “monster” will be able to see it. The Mexican performer Yuri will be on the Quinta Vergara stage for her fourth time to share her best hits.
Ecuadorian singer Fausto Miño, who performed “Baila mi vida”, only scored 3,9 since the jury did not consider the song belonged to the Folk category.
