Violent Incidents Due to Barcelona Defeat
Before the crushing 4-0 where Barcelona Sporting Club defeated against the Olmedo of Riobamba fans became angry and managed to tear down the fence that separates the general area of the field. Unfortunate verbal and physical violence in the stands arose before and after the match.
Barcelona fan group named “Dark South” expressed their anger through threats, shouts, and insults to all the team players, and especially towards his coach, Ruben Dario Insua.

Their increased in anger provoked the collapse of the grille, but a police contingent prevented the entry of fans onto the field.
In minute 32, David Valencia scored the first goal of the Riobamba team, after a defensive failure. Four minutes later, Argentine Gonzalo Pizzichillo took second annotation. The third goal came from Omar Ledesma. Despite the changes made by Insua the additional time, Olmedo scored their fourth conquest.
The defeat compounded his sporting crisis with its third loss in the event, which took him to ninth position in the standings.
