Virgen del Cisne starts its return to Loja

After traveling in a massive procession from Loja to El Cisne, tomorrow will start the return of the virgen”La Churona”, image that mobilizes thousands of faithful devotees from Ecuador, north Peru and other places of the world.

The celebrations culminated in the parish El Cisne. The image of the Virgin returned yesterday afternoon to her altar at the Basilica and from there will travel tomorrow to Loja on a pilgrimage that ends next Tuesday.

Meanwhile, dozens of buses offered in El Cisne trips to Machala, Guayaquil, Ambato, Cuenca. From 4:00 pm the town was left with a few devotees.

The pilgrimage to Loja will start at 07:00 amand its first stop will be in San Pedro de la Bendita. On Sunday will be in Catamayo, where it will rest one day and on Tuesday the image is expected to reach Loja.
