Washington Pesántez presents a political movement
Posted On 19 Jun 2012
Former National Prosecutor, Washington Pesántez presented yesterday to the National Electoral Council around 230000 signatures for the registration of his political party Movimiento Político Unión Ecuatoriana.
Pesántez didn’t confirm his candidacy, but didn’t rule it out. He said it is something that has not been decided by the movement, but said “it would be an honor to be the servant of the country.”
“Instead of having a temporary bonus, Ecuadorians should have a stable job,” he said during a speech to supporters, adding that the country has problems and hinted their differences with the government.
