Wikileaks: Documents Confirm the Release of a Yemeni in Guantanamo
According to The Guardian newspaper, several military documents informed the release of a Yemeni detainee at the Guantanamo prison after reporting about 123 other prisoners.
The Yemeni, who was captured in Pakistan on December 2001, provided information on the activities of al Qaeda and other detainees identified as militants, however, the documents say that their statements have not been verified.
The media said that these documents also revealed that an al Qaeda member accused of bomb attacks in Pakistan was an informant for the British intelligence service.
Print media around the world like The Guardian, The New York Times and El Pais have published more than 750 details leaked documents from the files of suspected terrorists held at Guantanamo and, despite the Pentagon condemned the release of the documents.
