Yolet Guale Died After Four Months Fighting for Her Life

Yolet Guale, a four months old child affected by a rotavirus adquired in the Children’s Hospital Francisco Ycaza Bustamente what caused her colon inflammation and swelling of the abdomen, died this morning in the neonatal intensive care area at Metropolitan Hospital Quito

Since last Friday Yolet had a relapse in her health, but it was today at 06:00 that she suffered several cardiorespiratory arrest and constant tachycardia. Immediately, doctors kept her connected to a ventilator.

The girl suffered from short bowel syndrome after contracting the bacteria was transferred to hospital in Quito in late March.
