112 years of our National Shield

Today, October 31, we celebrate the day of our National Emblem or Coat of Arms, which was approved in 1900 by the National Congress during the presidency of General Eloy Alfaro Delgado and designed by master Peter Paul Traversari.

Full of color and symbolism, every part of our patriotic shield has unique meaning.
