14 new laws would be pending on the legislative agenda of Alianza PAIS
The twelve coordinators of Alianza PAIS (AP) are scheduled to meet this January 21 to define the date of the workshops,where the legislative agenda for this year will be discussed.
President Rafael Correa would not attend these meetings, but the Secretary of Political Management, Viviana Bonilla; andExecutive Secretary of AP, Doris Soliz will. In addition to members of the Administrative Council of the Legislature (CAL for its Spanish acronym), who are government militants.
Last year, AP defined a list of 23 laws as priorities; of them, they only approved 8 and the other 11 are in some stage of the legislative process (first or second debate). Fausto Cayambe, one of the coordinators of AP, said that other three standards from the pending list is under construction: the Code of Health and the Galapagos and Mobility laws.
