15 days before the elections, the CNE proclaims data of the finalist binomials

The National Electoral Council (CNE) announced on Monday afternoon the official results of the elections of the president and vice-president of the Republic last February 19, which ratify the second round of voting between the finalist candidates: Lenin Moreno (AP) and Guillermo Lasso (CREO-SUMA).
The body proclaimed as finalists the Lenin Moreno-Jorge Glas binomial with 3,716,343 votes that equals 39.36%, and Guillermo Lasso-Andres Paez binomial, who obtained 2’652,403 votes or the equivalent to 28, 09%.
Absenteeism in the February elections was 18.37%.
The other candidates obtained the following results: Cynthia Viteri (PSC), 1,540,903 votes or 16,32%; Paco Moncayo (National Agreement for Change), 634,033 votes or 6.71%; Abdalá Bucaram (FE), 455,187 votes or 4.82%; Iván Espinel (FCS), 299,840 votes or 3.18%; Patricio Zuquilanda (PSP), 72,679 votes or 0.77%; And Washington Pesantez (UE), 71,107 votes or 0.75%.
Regarding the referendum on tax havens, the electoral body proclaimed as a winner the YES, which got 5,030,579 votes, equivalent to the 55.12%; While the NO obtained 4’096,559 votes, the 44.88%.
