1,700 private companies will be evaluated from today
The Ministry of Labour Relations today starts the audits that shall verify the compliance of the National Management System of Occupational Risks by private companies. This process will take 12 months.
It is expected to evaluate 1,700 small, medium and large companies. In case of any default in the safety of workers, the Ministry will grant 90 days for regularization. Otherwise, there is a system of sanctions.
Carlos Marx Carrasco, Minister of the entity, indicated that the fines range from two basic unified wages ($ 680) to 20 wages ($ 6,800). Everything depends on the degree of noncompliance and the danger posed to workers at the site.
The points to check are: organization, planning, continuous improvement, technical management, communication, training, incentive, accident investigation, emergency plans, protective equipment, among others.
