45 legal reforms for entrepreneurs

Posted On 06 Nov 2017

Ecuadornews:

The Legislature has in its hands the bill to Promote the Economic Reactivation of Ecuador. The analysis of the legal project starts this week and the Parliament will have a month to debate.

The proposal contains 21 sections on tax, financial, customs, among other reforms. Around 45 reforms refer to the business sector. Of these, close to 40% have to do with tax reforms, some of which were already announced by the President on October 11.

The bill proposes to raise the income tax for large companies, from 22 to 25%, and proposes to exempt the new micro-enterprises from this tax for two years. (I)
