4G Voice Service would reach the country in the coming months

According to Cesar Regalado, Manager of the National Corporation of telecommunications (CNT for its Spanish acronym), it is planned to implement the 4G (LTE) voice service between March and April.
During the presentation of the book “Public Companies and Planning”, in charge of Senplades, Regalado said that there are more than 100 base stations in Quito and Guayaquil.
“In (the) first stage, and by end of the year, we hope to have 400 base stations, covering most of the major provincial capitals of the country”, he added.
In 2012, the CNT became the first company of telecommunications with State authorization to provide fourth generation mobile technology, which allows one rate 10 times greater than the current ones on the internet.
