ECTV Sues Palacio

Ecuador TV, state tv station better known as ECTV, filed a lawsuit against former editor of Opinion of El Universo newspaper, Emilio Palacio, in the Court of Guayas.

This is a private prosecution made by Enrique Arosemena, general manager of ECTV, who states that Palacio made ​​a “false” and “offensive” statement when he called the channel “propaganda machine paid by the government to insult …”. He also called journalist Gustavo Espinoza “fascist”, during a press conference on July 21st, at the El Universo newspaper headquarters.
