Trade Minister announces his dismissal
The Minister of Foreign Trade, Francisco Rivadeneira, announced yesterday on his Facebook page that he is not part of the cabinet of Ministers since today.
Rivadeneira said: “I want to share with you that this morning I was informed I will not be part of the presidential cabinet anymore. I want to take this space to publicly thank the President (Rafael Correa) for giving me the opportunity to serve the country and my people, I have done it with pride, gladly and with dedication.”
He added that he retires with “a clear conscience but you can always do more and better. Finally, I will be able to dedicate the time that my wife and children deserve and return to my true passion: the academy, teaching.”
The Minister had assumed office in June 2013.
