From today until Thursday, the presidential candidates play their last cards in an election campaign that comes to an end, and the results will be known next Sunday, April 2, when 12.8 million Ecuadorians choose the new ruler.
According to the agenda established by the campaign teams of hopefuls Guillermo Lasso (CREO) and Lenin Moreno (PAIS), there will be no surprises in the proselytism strategies that, since March 10, has been centered on marches and caravans.
The candidate Guillermo Lasso (CREO) will dedicate his last four days of his campaign, including today, to tour the two cities that concentrate 30.5% of the national electorate: Quito and Guayaquil, each with a 15 percent.
Lenin Moreno has also scheduled his agenda for the last four days of the campaign, but his Press team gave no details.
Today he will be in Quito and Guayaquil, and it has been unofficially known that he will close his campaign in Cuenca (Azuay); On Wednesday he will go to Manta, and on Thursday he will end his proselytizing activities with a big concentration in Quito.
In this second round, the presidential candidates have concentrated their efforts in seven provinces, which have the largest electorate: Guayas, Pichincha, Manabí, Azuay, Esmeraldas, Los Ríos and El Oro.
The seven provinces, as a whole, according to the electoral roll, total 8.2 million voters; That is, 64.67% of the national electorate.
